The magnetic separation equipment mainly consists of a pre-coagulation reaction system, a magnetic disk purification and separation system, a magnetic seed recovery and circulation system, a sludge treatment system, and an electric control system.
A blending tank is utilized to add together a flocculant, magnetic seeds, and a coagulant into one mixture that travels to a clarification tank for successful solid-liquid separation to occur. A magnetic seed lift pump is then used to pump the resulting sludge from the clarification tank into both a high shear machine and a magnetic separator.
Sludge with a water content of 80% that is discharged from a roller dehydrator, screw stacking machine, or centrifugal machine is sent to a screw conveyor and modifying mixer where a conditioner and modifier are added and blended.
The purpose of sludge modification and conditioning is to alter the organic material on sludge particles, disintegrate the cellular and colloidal structure of the sludge, alter the water-retention properties and reduce the compressibility in order to make it suitable for detailed dehydration and drying processes.
